Terms of Service

Last updated: March 23, 2026

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Void Terminal ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Software. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and GE Labs ("we," "us," or "our"), a company based in the Philippines.

2. Description of Service

Void Terminal is an AI-powered SSH terminal client available as a desktop application for macOS and Windows. The Software includes a free tier with core terminal features and a paid Pro tier with AI-powered features, broadcast mode, workspaces, and other premium functionality.

3. License

Free Tier: The core terminal is open-source under the MIT License. You may use, copy, modify, and distribute the free version freely.

Pro Tier: The Pro features (AI engine, advanced tools) are proprietary. A valid Pro license key is required. The license is per-user, non-transferable, and locked to one device at a time. You may deactivate and reactivate on a different device.

4. Subscriptions & Payments

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through our payment processor (Paddle). By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges. You may cancel at any time — your Pro access continues until the end of the current billing period. Prices are listed in USD and may be adjusted for regional purchasing power parity (PPP).

5. BYOK (Bring Your Own Key)

Void Terminal's AI features use a BYOK model. You provide your own API key from third-party AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or Ollama). We do not store, access, or bill your API key. You are solely responsible for your API usage and costs with those providers.

6. User Responsibilities

You agree to: (a) use the Software in compliance with all applicable laws; (b) not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Pro components; (c) not share, redistribute, or sublicense your Pro license key; (d) not use the Software for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.

7. Intellectual Property

The Void Terminal name, logo, branding, and Pro features are the intellectual property of GE Labs. The open-source core is licensed under MIT. Third-party components retain their respective licenses.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Software is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Software will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted. Use of the Software for managing servers and SSH connections is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, GE Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to data loss, server downtime, or security breaches arising from your use of the Software.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your Pro license if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, you lose access to Pro features but may continue using the free tier. You may terminate your subscription at any time through your dashboard.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the application or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the Philippines.
